A moribund herring, part of a school waiting in quarantine before being released into the public area of the science center. There is little ceremony in the euthanizing of a fish. It is a matter of fact procedure, part of the day, another tick mark on the to do list.

I know it is odd, considering what I eat, but I appreciate that you care enough to state each end of life.
I don't think I want to ask if that is common practice or not, I do think it is compassionate to not the let fish just struggle for air. I am a vegan and I have no opinions on how other people should lead their lives, I just think if we must take a life do it with kindness.
