  • a wild dove with a broken wing. the woman who brought it in just called to see how it was doing and I told her we humanely euthanized it and she burst into tears. I thanked her for taking care of it and doing the right thing.
  • an amazon parrot with a tumor in its leg that had eaten its entire femur.

  • a cockatiel that had laid too many eggs and had peritonitis. Her abdomen was the size of a golf ball and entirely filled with fluid.
