An 11 year old great dane who weighed 160 pounds. The owners wanted to take the body home so we did the euthanasia in the car. I crawled in the backseat with the owner and the dog. It's always unnerving holding a syringe filled with more than enough euthanasia solution to kill a human.

I came across your blog yesterday and I've read every single one of your entries. I think it's a nice idea to commemorate all the animals that have come your way in need of help - perhaps you have inspired me to keep a log as well. It's amazing how much we can forget although at the exact moment having the power to end a life is unnerving, even a bit frightening. It was strange to have gone through your entries and realize that I've felt the same way many times before. What's also interesting is that I have also worked with small animals and wildlife..

When the time comes for my pets to need aid in passing away, I hope I get a vet who cares as much as you do.
