  • A hamster with ascites from an unknown cause. It was two years old so exploratory surgery wasn't really an option. She was bloated she looked like she had ping pong balls in her hips.
  • A 13-year-old chinchilla with teeth so bad he couldn't eat anymore. He was slowly starving.

You're doing good work. These animals deserve to die with dignity.

My kitten had to be euthanized last summer when it was discovered that he had feline infections peritonitis. We cried and cried. But watching him suffer was worse.

My Doberman, our family companion for over 11 years, had to be euthanized a year and a half after her stroke, when she was in so much pain she no longer slept or ate, just cried.

It was years ago, and I still sob about it sometimes. My father cried more that day than at his own father's funeral.

Animals are precious because they are so innocent. And the people who do the hard work like you, well, my hat goes off to you.

    Take care.
